KRISTOF SZABO — DANAOS
What does it mean to flee as a persecuted person to a foreign land, where it is a matter of life and death whether the country is welcoming or not? What can a person cling to if they lose their faith in their own culture, in their god, in humanity? Is there still a germ of the idealism of the humanists today, or is the intellectual heritage of antiquity and the Renaissance just a memory? The company seeks answers to these questions on paths leading through spirit worlds and surreal situations. In the performance based on Aeschylus' tragedy The Seekers, director Kristóf Szabó presents the story of a group of political asylum seekers, in which the outcasts lose their moral support one after another.
